Correction on my last post. These are Kinetic C.E.R. roll soles, not the CER II’s.

The Kinetic II model came out in 1995 and obviously wasn’t as popular as the original Kinetic CER because it didn’t stay around as long which is possibly why there isn’t any MPF been done on it.

I don’t expect anything from here anymore. Talk about pulling something out of something, is that how you got that MPF? I’ve done the ebay thing, and more, and only came up with an original CER (not II). Do you have any idea how tough it is for some of us to go to something new these days? I would if I could, but I can’t. Buying parts isn’t as economical as was whrn I first started doing this. Also, I think you’re only about 10 years off on the CER II.

billybob- you asked for the MPF and I gave it to you. Do you honestly expect anyone to magically pull a replacement head from 1989 out of thin air? Keep checking on ebay. Or better yet, go ahead and buy something new. There is nothing refreshing about someone playing clubs from 1989. Quit crying.

To both you and “word”; thanks for nothing. I see you responding to some of the most inane stuff on this forum all the time; I thought it would be refreshing to see someone who actually used some of your old stuff (and still does). I figured the problem was that you couldn’t find a replacement for the CER II 9-iron. If that’s what it is, either reply that way or respond to my email address (which I DID supply). I’ll never understand how people that provide forums like this with their name on it think that those of us that ask questions shouldn’t think that we should get responses from you. took me writing a disparaging remark for one of your “knowledgeable folks” to respond, and then you, complain that you shouldn’t have to respond to questions directed at you.

I’d post this someplace else on your site, but you don’t provide a place for it.

BillybobT. First, thanks “word” for jumping in here. I eventually read almost everything on this site and no one helps me do anything normally. Sometimes I have to go and get an answer and if I do, I give credit, such as when I ask Jim Yachinich (GolfWorks school instructor) about something I am not sure of. Actually, I am down to the last chapter on the new 700 page fitting book which has taken 9 years to write and I am now devoting days, weekends and evenings to getting it finished (a lot of time also in the research, drawings and photo taking). We are also currently redoing the GolfWorks clubhead line for 2011.

This has been a wonderful, non-commercial website in my opinion that has attracted some very knowledgeable folks who have also helped me out by answering a number of the questions on their own. If one of these answers is wrong or I feel it needs a little clarity, I jump in. If the persons question is satisfactorily answered, it stands on its own. As “word” said, use this website for what it is and realize that not every single question will get a response as there is simply not enough time for me personally to answer every single question.

Dude give him a break. He does read this, but I’m sure has quite a bit of other stuff going on- Club design, new club testing, book writing. This is a forum, not an ask Ralph chat line. Sometimes he does jump in and explain something. Plenty of people read this and sometimes nobody has an answer for you. It has happened plenty of times. Don’t take it personally. By the way, the MPF of the 1989 Kinetic CER is 898.

I would have thought that asking a question about one of his older designs might have at least garnered at least a big question mark. I’ll look elsewhere for answers from now on. Makes me wonder if he actually ever reads anything here or if he relies on others to determine what’s important.

I recently re-shafted my set with some plain old Apollo steel shafts (stiff), and I’m hitting them better than ever. I did something with this set that I had never tried before; aligning the spines with a simple ball bearing device.

I’ve been wondering if you’ve ever done any MPF ratings on any of your older designs like these. I’ve always been happy with these clubs.

My only problem is that I left my 9 iron on a course a while back and nobody ever turned it in. I managed to find a Kinetic CER Roll Sole on eBay, but it would be nice to discover that I could make a direct replacement.
