I am not sure what the results will be on the tour burner irons, but if past results are considered, Callaway irons are usually much higher on Ralph’s MPF scale than any other OEM club, including most all of Taylor Made’s so called “game improvement irons”
I really think that Callaway’s S2H2 (Straight Short, Hollow Hosel) that allows this reduced hosel weight to be put into places that help the club perform better. Ralph had a great article (Maltby Reporter volume 1.4) on TM’s supposed “draw” irons that are anything but game improvement when you look at what that hosel biased weighting does to the COG, and therefore the MPF ranking.
Like it was said, sometimes marketing and reality just dont match up.
Good luck on your decision.

jhervin, I have asked my contact at Taylormade to send me a 6 iron for MPF evaluation. I should be getting it soon and will add it to the 2008 MPF listings. It’s hard to keep up with Taylormade as they introduce new clubs every few months it seems.

Have you had a chance to rate the Taylormade Bruner Tour Irons? I have tried many brands and models within each brand. My decision is between Callaway x-20 and Taylormade Burner Tour irons that just came on the market. Thanks for the help.
